Vanua Chocolate releases New Packaging and New Fijian Infused Flavors on World Chocolate Day
In conjunction with the World Chocolate Day, Vanua Chocolate is pleased to release its new packaging and the Fijian flavors chocolate selection that will include infusion of Fijian fruit flavors such as coconut , passionfruit and mangoes.
“The new packaging and the Fijian flavors was very well received at the Amsterdam Cocoa Week earlier this year ‘” quoted Arif, founder of Vanua Chocolate. Our Dark Chocolate Passionfruit bars finished within a few hours on the first day . We are pleased to work with our partners and the British Embassy to bring the flavors to Europe .
We have been working with consultants to enhance the packaging to include tribal masi background and to emphasize the image of the flavor . Whilst the dark and bean to bar chocolate is the preferred taste of consumers due to its health benefits, it is still a very competitive market. Our mission is to work with the cocoa farmers in rural areas to impact their livelihoods whilst delivering a world-class chocolate.
Locally the chocolate is sold via Extra Supermarket, Yees Supermarket Denarau and True Market locations . We are also supply to hotels and the the duty free stores of Tappoos and Jacks. We are now focusing on exports but facing challenges with low bean supply and we hope to work with stakeholders and farmers to truly revive Fiji’s cocoa industry to the success of the yesteryears. However, this time the focus is on high end niche market with better pricing for farmers.
